Sad to be leaving beautiful Sedona, we headed up the Scenic Oak Creek Canyon, stopping at the Overview to both see the view and to shop beautiful Native American jewelry.

On our way to Grand Canyon through Flagstaff, many of us headed over to the Walnut Canyon National Monument, a narrow, deep limestone canyon that holds more than 80 cliff dwellings. Despite the very strong winds, several of the group took the trail down to be closer to the actual ruins, passing snakes of multiple types on the way.

Returning to Flagstaff along Route 66 looking for a Dairy Queen for lunch, we saw a few remnants of the iconic motels and other signs.
Turned out this Dairy Queen only had ice-cream which we had for lunch.
Most of the people then went straight to Tusayan, while others stopped at Riordan Mansion State Historic Park for a house tour.
The French attended the Grand Canyon movie in Tusayan.
Patsy and Michael caught up with us for or 2 days. We hope they will be back.
I’m traveling from Salt Lake City to Northern Utah with some friends and we spotted a fleet of what I believe to be Morgan sports cars, at least 20 of em. Did I spot this event happening?
ReplyDeleteFor some context, it was between Woodside and Wellington, I was heading towards Woodside and all the Morgans we’re heading towards Wellington (maybe not directly to, but in the general direction of). Along Highway 191.
