DAY 6-SCOTTSDALE TO SEDONA

This day was a very busy day, starting off with having to leave the Fairmont Princess early to arrive at Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin West for our private Insights tour at 8:45 AM.

Thanks Stan- approaching Taliesin West
Hoping to have a cup of coffee and bite to eat at the kiosk there, the kiosk lady didn't arrive until almost time for our tour. So we starved, if such a thing can ever happen on one of these trips.
Taliesin West is also the home of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation and the School of Architecture, a Masters Program.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taliesin_West

After the 90 minute tour, we headed off on Hwy 87, the back road toward Sedona, AZ. with a lunch stop in Payson.

The weather changed dramatically as we climbed to over 6500 feet and even ran into some rain on the road to Sedona.

Harry, a long time member of the Northern California Morgan Club, living in Cornville, on the route to Sedona had invited us all to stop by for a drink and visit. It was great to see Harry again after 35 years. Harry has a Snobmog, 1955 +4 4-Seater Drophead. named "Lady Day."

Many in the group stopped at the Montezuma Castle National Monument, but we were running late and really needed to get to Harry's so missed this opportunity.

Several of us enjoyed dinner at Judi's Restaurant and Lounge, an excellent restaurant right next to the hotel. It was a full enjoyable day.
