The first stop of the day was at Casa Grande Ruins National Monument in Coolidge, AZ.The Casa Grande (Big House) was built prior to 1350 AD by Ancestral Desert People. The four-story structure was constructed of layers of caliche mud and represent the eight of the period’s architectural advancement Around the main building are the remains of a walled village.

Next we drove through Florence, AZ, which appears to be a declining town, despite the presence of many prisons. We stopped to see the beautiful Administrative Center in the middle of town and then to have a cold drink, as it was warming up rapidly.

The remainder of the morning and afternoon were spent driving down Hwy 79, the Final-Pioneer Parkway to our hotel in Tucson, with a picnic stop along the way.

The evening was spent at Marj and Bart's, longtime members of the MSCCNC who retired to Tucson a few years ago. They provided a  delicious BBQ dinner for all 39 of us, plus a few of their local British Car group members. Several Morgan repairs were made including a  missing bolt connecting the wing brace, a stuck 1/2 way down window on an Aero, changing an indicator switch, and reinstalling some cover under Fiona's Morgan.
