DAYS 20-27- LANDER TO JACKSON, WY - 7/30- ADDED YELLOWSTONE

So I have been even more lax about writing this blog. The several days in Yellowstone's very poor internet didn't help. I hope you are following along on Gerri's and Grae's blog (link on the right)  as they are better at keeping up with the trip.
Look back at this post as I add information and more photos.

DAY 26- YELLOWSTONE TO JACKSON, WY to Jackson, WY via Grant Teton National Park.
Today was a lovely day to make this scenic drive. There was still some snow along the roadway as we traveled at 7000-8000 feet.

Lewis Lake
I had to stand across the street for 10 minutes while all the other visitors took their photos along with  our Morgan.
Overlooking Jackson Lake and Grand Tetons.

Finally,  I had my turn for a photo.

Lunch was at the Jackson Lake Lodge with Callie and Colin, Dennis and Nancy, Roger and Linda and Christian and Fanny.

It was also noted that Simon had a problem with bolts on his rack, which was temporarily fixed then finally fixed at the Chevy dealer in Jackson.

We all arrived about the same time at the Cowboy Village Resort where we each had our own little cabin.

We were a bit rushed on the trip, as we needed to pick up tickets to the Bar J Chuckwagon Dinner and show https://www.barjchuckwagon.com quite early. Tables are chosen, first come first served, however the queue starts 3 hours in advance. We were 2nd in the queue and picked row 3.
The BBQ dinner at the Bar J Chuckwagon was delicious and served very quickly for the 400 or so people who attended.

Following the dinner, a great cowboy show (singing and comedy) was enjoyed by all.

DAYS 24 AND 25- YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK

We had 2 full days in Yellowstone with plenty opportunities to see the many sites of Yellowstone. A few people took a guided tour of the lower loop on Day 1, while many did their own tour of the lower or upper loop. The weather was cool and clear with snow remaining on the ground. We were in Yellowstone just as it was beginning to open for the season.
